Clinical Supervision-
Amy Norsten, MA, LMFT
I’m an LMFT & LPCC Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor in the State of Minnesota, with experience providing culturally responsive supervision across community mental health, community-based crisis response, and private practice settings. I strive to create a supportive yet critically reflective environment for supervisees, emphasizing collaboration and professional growth.
My training and practice are grounded in systems-based models and theories, with a primary focus on supporting children, adolescents, and adults. Additionally, I have received specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS Institute), TF-CBT, and mental health crisis assessment and response.
I view supervision through a lens of decolonization, recognizing the need to dismantle colonial structures within mental health systems. This approach centers equity, challenges dominant practices, and amplifies diverse voices. I actively cultivate humility and self-awareness to challenge implicit biases, honoring intersectionality and fostering a space that is inclusive, empowering, and collaborative for all supervisees.
