Relationship Counseling
Every relationship—whether monogamous, open, or ethically non-monogamous—has its own unique dynamics and challenges. Emotional disconnection, communication breakdowns, and recurring patterns of conflict are common, but these difficulties don’t have to define your experience together. If you and your partner(s) are struggling or feeling stuck, therapy can support you in finding a path to deeper understanding, connection, and fulfillment. I work with couples of all orientations and identities, including LGBTQ+ partners, to create a safe, affirming space where every relationship is respected and valued.
I am trained in and utilize Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), an approach that helps you understand, express, and respond to your emotions in ways that strengthen bonds and foster deeper intimacy. EFCT is grounded in the understanding that emotions are central to how we connect with others. Our feelings guide our behaviors and shape the way we relate. When we struggle to express or understand them, misunderstandings, hurt, and disconnection can arise. EFCT helps partners regardless of gender or sexual orientation identify their emotional needs, communicate them authentically, and respond to each other with empathy, care, and mutual respect.
